I’ve spent today researching Hilda Doolittle, modernist American poet from the turn of the century.  After I  understood her poems from ‘The Sea Garden’ I felt very inspired.  She was really reaching out for her voice to be heard and I really got her passion.  I love writers that really pour their soul into their writing.  Recently I studied an Australian author from the turn of the century, Miles Franklin who was similar.  A woman crying out for her voice to be heard.  I relate to this need to express identity through writing.  It’s something I’ve been doing my whole life and it channels into my storywriting.
